ELIGIBILITY: Open to any NPC athlete. (2009 NPC cards will be available for $85. [Jr.Fitness Only competitors will not be required to purchase an NPC Card--they/and their parents, will have to sign another insurance form.]) Junior Fitness competitors must be under 20 years of age the day of the contest. Age Group Figure competitors must have reached the age of 30/35/40 the day of the contest. To be eligible for Collegiate Figure, competitor must show proof of current enrollment at any college or junior college. Model Search competitors must be at least 18 years old. Proof of age required. Novice Figure competitors are eligible only if they have never placed 1st-3rd in an open class or 1^st place Novice Division in any NPC sanctioned Open Figure competition. Contestants may enter more than one division.

AWARDS : Women's Open Fitness, Women's Open Figure, and Women's Novice Figure and BIKINI: 1st -5th in each height class.
Men's Fitness: 1st-5th one class
Junior Fitness 1st-5th in each age group, (6 yrs. and younger, 7-10 yrs., 11-14 yrs. and 15-19 yrs)
Women's Figure Age Group Over 30-35, 35-40, 40+: 1st -5th each class
A Team Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team. ($25 fee per team is required.)
Overall Champions receive an overall award

RULES: This contest is NPC sanctioned and will run in accordance with the most recent NPC rules and procedures. All decisions are final. All Fitness & Figure competitors must bring their competition suits to check-in for approval.
MUSIC: Fitness Contestants will use their own music for the finals, prerecorded on a "CD-R" type cd with only routine song custome burned and CUED TO YOUR STARTING POINT. BRING CD TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3rd, 8:00 A.M. MEETING! Time Limit: 2 MIN..
BACKSTAGE: Due to limited backstage area and competitor safety, only one trainer per competitor will be allowed backstage. Backstage Trainer's Passes are no charge, but granted with proof of purchase of morning and evening show tickets only.
SCHEDULE: Check-in FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd 6-8 p.m., at the Host Hotel for ALL competitors. SATURDAY Meeting at Colorado Heights University Theater, at 8:00am, Prejudging at 10:00am, Evening check-in at 5pm and Finals at 6pm. (Model Search competitors do not need to attend Pre-Judging Sat.am; but must check in at 5 pm Sat. night.)
ENTRY FEE: Entries postmarked prior to SEPT. 15, $55 per division entered. Entries postmarked after SEPT. 15, $95 per division entered. (Jr.Fitness entry cost is only $25 per competitor.) NO REFUNDS. MEN'S FITNESS CONTEST DETAILS
AWARDS: 5 places will be awarded.
MUSIC, BACKSTAGE, SCHEDULE, ENTRY FEE: same as above.
COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES
ROUND 1/ PHYSIQUE: Contestants are to wear either runner or biker shorts, (but no posing suits), along with athletic shoes and socks. All contestants will be brought out in a line-up and asked to execute four, quarter turns to the right. The judges will be assessing overall symmetry, proportion, firmness and physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise,and presentation that best shows an athletic physique.
ROUND 2/ FITNESS ROUTINE: Each contestant will perform a Fitness Routine to music they select for a maximum of 2 minutes. Routines may include strength moves, (i.e. push-ups, situps, jumping jacks, high kicks, etc.), aerobics, martial arts, gymnastics, dance or oither demonstrations of athletic talent. There are no required movements. (You do not have to be a gymnast to do well in this round.) The judges will be looking for strength, flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning, style, personality, coordination and overall performance. The judges will be looking for a well rounded routine, not just one focused on one aspect of fitness. Due to the danger of slippage, no body oil is allowed. The contestants should give special attendtion to their fitness outfit, as it will be judged as well. Athletic shoes are required during this round. Props are allowed, but contestant must be able to carry them on and off the stage.

WOMEN'S FITNESS & FIGURE* CONTEST DETAILS

Contestants must wear high heels in the swimsuit rounds and tennis/athletic shoes in the fitness round. Jewelry may be worn in the swimsuit rounds.
Thong swimsuits will not be allowed. Tights must be worn under thong in fitness round.
Exhibition of poor sportsmanship will be grounds for automatic disqualification.
Fitness contestants must be able to carry their own props to and from the stage.

PUBLICITY AND AWARDS:
FITNESS---The top 5 winners in one class of FITNESS,

OPEN FIGURE---The top 5 winners in each of the four height classses for OPEN FIGURE, (5'2" and under, over 5'2" - 5'4", over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"),

NOVICE FIGURE--- The top 5 winners in each of the three height classes for NOVICE FIGURE, (5'4" and under, over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"),

BIKINI*---The top 5 winners in each of the three height classes for BIKINI, (5'4" and under, over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"),

will receive Niels Andersen sculpture awards. No money prizes may be given at the amateur level.
*All BIKINI competitors in this show are nationally qualified for 2009, and are
eligible to compete for 22 IFBB pro cards awarded in 2009 at the pro qualifier NPC national contests!

JUDGING PROCEDURES:
ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT
The contestants will be brought ou tin 1 or 2 lines for the quarter turns in a 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do not twist-look straight ahead.)The judges will be scoring the physique by assessing overall muscle tone with shapely lines, overall firmness and a small degree of muscularitywith separation, no visible striations and no excessive leanness along with a full general assessment including healthy appearance, face, makeup and skin tone.
ROUND 2/ FITNESS
Each athlete will perform a maximum 2 minute routine. Judges will be looking for strength and flexibility moves, style, personality and overall presentation and showmanship. Strengthand flexibility moves will be judged on the number, degree of difficulty and the creativity in performing the moves. Contestants should give special attentionto their apparel since it too will be judged. Routines may include aerobics,dance gymnastics or other demonstrations of athletic talent and strength--there are no required moves except at the national events, but are strongly recommended. Props are allowed but must be approved by promoter in advance.

SCORING
Each round is judged separately, andscores are turned in after each round.

EVENING PERFORMANCE
All contestants will be introducedat the evening event in their swimsuits. All athletes will perform theirfitness routine at the evening finals.

*NOTE: JUNIOR FITNESS CHAMPIONSHIPS--Rules are the same as Women's Fitness minus "ROUNDS 1 AND 3/ SWIMSUIT ROUNDS," FITNESS ROUTINE ONLY! Cost to enter Jr.Fitness: $25.

*NOTE: WOMEN'S OPEN FIGURE CHAMPIONSHIPS----Rules are the same as Women's Fitness minus "ROUND 2/ FITNESS."

*NOTE: WOMEN'S NOVICE FIGURE CHAMPIONSHIPS---
Same as above, plus Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never placed 1st-3rd in any NPC sanctioned FIGURE OPEN event.

SPECIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT NEW NPC BIKINI DIVISION:

NO crossover into Fitness or Figure. (Model Search crossovers are allowed.)
Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit like Figure and Fitness. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack suit. All swimsuits must be in good taste and glued on. Swimsuit will be inspected at Athlete Check-In
Competitors must wear high heels.
Competitors may wear jewelry.

BIKINI JUDGING PROCEDURES:

Presentation

Competitors will walk onstage alone and perform their Model Walk (personal preference)

The Model Walk consists of the following: Walk to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance then a full turn and do a rear stance then turn to the front again in front of the judges and then proceed to the side of the stage.

Comparison Round, Two-Piece Swimsuit

Competitors will be judged wearing a two-piece swimsuit and heels.
The competitors will be brought out in a group and directed to do a full front and rear stance.
Judges will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in half turns. (No side judging permitted, front and back only.)
Judges will be scoring competitors on the following items:
- Balance and Shape
- Overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.

FITTEST COUPLE JUDGING PROCEDURES:

Entry fee: $55 per couple; $30/couple if you’re a fitness/figure/bikini competitor or you’re entering all 3 model searches.

Fittest Couple contestants will be judged in 1 round, performing standard model turns:

Couple is defined as one male and one female contestant; must be at least 18 years of age.
Contestants wear swimwear of their choice [NO THONGS!].
Men must be barefoot and women may wear heels.
Each couple will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
The judges will be looking for the couple that best portrays the look of health, fitness, sex-appeal and poise.

The winning couple will receive a fitness gift package: Photo Shoot with Hayes Photography with make-up by Sara Duffey Artistry, for a combined value of over $1,500!
Awards and prizes for the top Fit Five!
Special award presented to the #1 FAN FAVORITE! The audience will vote for their favorite FITTEST COUPLE, so be sure to invite your friends and family! Every vote will count! The FAN FAVORITE will receive a fitness gift package from Fitness Fiesta Sponsors!
Fittest Couple contestants must check-in by 4:30 pm, Saturday, October 3rd.
The FITTEST COUPLE search will begin shortly after 6pm; following Round 1 of the Fitness Model Search.
Fittest Couple contestants are not required to be at pre-judging in the morning.

HOT MAMA search details:

Entry fee: $55 per contestant; $30 if you’re a fitness/figure/bikini competitor or you’re entering all 3 model searches.

HOT MAMA JUDGING PROCEDURES:

Hot Mama contestants will be judged in 1 round, performing standard model turns:

Contestants must be at least 18 years of age and have given birth to at least 1 child..
Contestants wear swimwear of their choice [NO THONGS!].
Contestants may wear heels.
Each contestant will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
The judges will be looking for the contestant that best portrays the look of health, fitness, beauty, sex-appeal, poise and exemplifies a HOT MAMA!

The winning contestant will be photographed by Terry Goodlad for www.BodySPORT.com, and a featured guest on BodySPORT Fitness, Figure & Bikini Talk radio! In addition, the winning HOT MAMA will recieve a photo shoot with Hayes Photography with make-up by Sara Duffey Artistry and a fitness gift package for a combined value of over $1000!

Fitness Model contestants will be judged in 1 round, performing standard model turns:

Contestants must be at least 18 years of age.
Contestants wear FITNESS/ACTIVE/SPORTS WEAR of their choice [NO THONGS!]
Contestants may wear shoes of their choice.
Each contestant will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
The judges will be looking for the contestant that best portrays the look of health, fitness, beauty, sex-appeal, personality, poise and modeling qualities.

The winning male and female contestants will be photographed by Terry Goodlad for www.BodySPORT.com, and the Women's Fitness Model Winner will be a featured guest on BodySPORT Fitness, Figure & Bikini Talk Radio.
