ELIGIBILITY: Open to
any NPC athlete. (2009 NPC cards will be available for $85.) Teenage
competitors must not have exceeded 19 years of age the day of the
contest. Men's Masters competitors must have reached the age
of 35,40,45 the day of the contest, Women's Masters BB must have
reached the age of 35 the day of the contest. Proof of age
required. Novice
competitors are eligible only if they have never placed 1st-3rd
in an open class or 1st place Novice Division in any NPC sanctioned
event. Novice Division I competitors are eligible only if
they have NEVER COMPETED BEFORE. Contestants may enter more
than one division, however, contestants will only pose once
at the evening competition.
AWARDS:
Men's/Women's Open: 1st-5th
in each weight class. Teenage, Novice Division I and
Masters: 1st-5th one class each. Novice, Drug Free for Life
1st-3rd
in each
weight class. (Novice and Drug Free for Life class must have
a minimum of 3 entrants prior to June 1, or number of classes
reduced.) A Team Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring
team. ($25 fee per team is required.) Overall Men's and Women's
Champions receive an Overall award.

TESTING
PROCEDURE: As a condition of acceptance into this
event, each contestant must pass a thorough 45-minute polygraph
examination proving that he/she has not engaged in the use
of anabolic steroids, clenbutero, or synthol at any time during the
preceding 24 calendar
months, or for competitor's entire life if
entered in the Drug
Free for Life Class. (The previous 6 months is the time frame
for non-over-the
counter
diuretics), Upon receipt of entry form and fee,
the contestant will be notified where to go in Denver or Colorado
Springs for polygraph testing. The testing center will attempt
to accommodate each contestant's schedule. No doctor's notes accepted.
There will not be any
additional charge to the contestant for the test.
RULES : This
contest is NPC sanctioned and will run in accordance with the most
recent NPC rules and procedures. All decisions are final. MUSIC:
Contestants will use their own music for the finals, on a custom
burned CD with only 60 sec. of posing song on the CD.
BRING CD TO CHECK-IN. Time Limit: 60 sec. All bodybuilding
competitors to be weighed-in wearing their posing suit and all Figure
competitors must bring their suits for inspection.
BACKSTAGE:
NEW!
Due to limited backstage area at the Englewood High Auditorium, and for
the competitors
safety, only a limited number of assistants/ trainers
will be
permitted backstage. They may purchase a backstage pass for
$35
with purchase of tickets for Prejudging and Evening Finals. Only 1
Trainer per
competitor. (Competitors do not need a ticket) Please purchase Backstage Pass by May 15, 2009, and trainer name will
be listed in the event
program
SCHEDULE
: Check-in/
Weigh-in will be FRIDAY, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the Host Hotel-Holiday
Inn/Lakewood, 8:00pm FRIDAY meeting for BODYBUILDERS only, and
Prejudging begins
SATURDAY at 9:00am at Englewood High Auditorium.
Saturday Evening check-in will be at 4:00 pm, and the evening
presentation
begins at 5pm.

$90 for the first class entered, $35 for each additional class.
Entries postmarked after May 15th, 2009, $130 for the first class
entered, $40 for each additional class. NO BODYBUILDING ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED
AFTER June 1st.

GENERAL CONTEST
INFORMATION
- This show is a
national qualifier.
- Each
contestant must
be a current member of the NPC, (2009 NPC cards will be available for
$85)
- Entry Fee: $55
if postmarked by May 15th, 2009. $95 for entries postmarked after May
15th, 2009. Figure
entries will be accepted at the Friday, June 5th Check-In at the Host
Hotel, Holiday
Inn/Lakewood (Complete
the entry form BELOW.)
- Figure
Over 40
contestants must
have
reached
the age of 40 by the day of the contest. Proof
of age required.
- Contestants must
wear high heels in the swimsuit rounds Jewelry may
be worn in the swimsuit rounds.
- Thong swimsuits
will
not be allowed.
- Competitors must
bring their two piece suit to check-in at Check-in/
Weigh-in will be FRIDAY, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at TBA, for inspection.
- Exhibition of
poor
sportsmanship will be grounds for automatic disqualification.
- NEW- Due to
limited
backstage area and for the competitors safety, only one assistant
or trainer will be permitted backstage with purchase of a backstage
pass, $35 plus proof of purchase of Prejudging and Evening show
tickets.

at Englewood High Auditorium, Englewood, CO. (I block south of
Hampden, 2 blocks east of Broadway.)
PUBLICITY
AND AWARDS: The top 5 winners in:
--Each of the FOUR height classses
for FIGURE, (5'2" and under,
over 5'2" - 5'4", over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"),
--One, (1),
class for FITNESS,
--Each
of the
TWO,
(2), height classes for BIKINI,
(Up to and including 5/4", Over
5'4"),
will
receive Neils
Anderson Figure Sculptures. The top 5 winners in
each of the four height
classses for FIGURE, one FITNESS
class, and three BIKINI classes will be
nationally qualified for Jr.USA and Team Universe FIgure, and the top 3
winners are
eligible to compete at the NPC Jr.Nationals, NPC USA and NPC National Figure
Championships in NY. No money
prizes may be given at the amateur level. Competitors who have competed
for money prizes lose their amateur status.
FITNESS & FIGURE JUDGING
PROCEDURES:
ROUND
1/SWIMSUIT
The
contestants
will be brought out in 1 or 2 lines for the quarter turns in 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do
not twist-look straight ahead.)The judges will be scoring the
physique by assessing overall muscle tonewith shapely lines,
overall firmness and a small degree of muscularity with separation,
no visible striations and no excessive leanness along with a
full general assessment including healthy appearance, face,
makeup and skin tone.
ROUND 2/ FITNESS
Each FITNESS athlete will perform a maximum 2 minute routine. Judges
will be looking for strength and flexibility moves, style,
personality and overall presentation and showmanship. Strength
and flexibility moves will be judged on the number, degree
of difficulty and the creativity in performing the moves.
Contestants should give special attention to their apparel
since it too will be judged. Routines may include aerobics,dance
gymnastics or other demonstrations of athletic talent and
strength--there are no required moves except at the national
events, but are strongly recommended. Props are allowed but
must be approved by promoter in advance.
SCORING
Each round is
judged separately, and scores are turned in after each round.
EVENING
PERFORMANCE
All
contestants
will be introduced at the evening event in their two-piece suits
.

their2 PIECE swimsuits. All athletes will perform theirfitness routine
at the evening finals.

40+ CHAMPIONSHIPS ----Rules are
the same as Women's Fitness minus "ROUND 2/FITNESS"
SPECIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT NEW BIKINI DIVISION:
- NO
crossover into Bodybuilding, Fitness or Figure.
- Competitors
will compete in a
two-piece suit like Figure and Fitness. The bottom of the suit must be
v-shaped. No thongs are
permitted. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack suit. All
swimsuits must be in good taste. Swimsuit will be inspected at Athlete
Check-In
- Competitors
must wear high heels.
- Competitors
may wear jewelry.
BIKINI
JUDGING PROCEDURES:
Presentation
- Competitors
will walk onstage alone and perform their Model Walk (personal
preference)
- The
Model Walk consists of the following:
Walk
to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance then a full turn
and do a rear stance then turn to the front again in front of the
judges and then proceed to the side of the stage.
Comparison Round,
Two-Piece Swimsuit
- Competitors
will be judged wearing a two-piece swimsuit and heels.
- The
competitors will be brought out in a group and directed to do a full
front and rear stance.
- Judges
will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in
half turns. (No side judging permitted, front and back only.)
- Judges
will be scoring competitors on the following items:
- Balance
and Shape
- Overall
physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall
presentation.
