ELIGIBILITY/BODYBUILDERS:
Open to
any
NPC athlete. (2006 NPC cards will be available for $75.) Teenage
competitors must not have exceeded 19 years of age the day
of the contest.Masters competitors must have reached the age
of 35/40/45/50 the day of the contest.Proof of age required.
Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never placed
1st-3rd in an open class or 1st place Novice Division in any
NPC sanctioned national qualifier event. Police, Fire & Sheriff
category must show proof of civil service. Contestants may enter
more than one division, however, athletes will only pose once
at the evening competition.
AWARDS/BODYBUILDERS:
Men's/Women's
Open: 1st-5th in each weight class. Men's Teenage, Men's & Women's
Novice and Women's
Masters,
Men's Masters 35-40, 40-45, 45-50 and over 50: 1st -5th one class
each.
Police, Fire & Sheriff overall, Men's and Women's winner
receives an
overall award.
A Team Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team.
($20 fee per team is required.) Overall Men's and Women's
Champions receive customized embroidered NPC Wear.

RULES/BODYBUILDERS:
This contest is
NPC sanctioned and will run in accordance with the most recent
NPC rules and procedures. All bodybuilding competitors will
be weighed in wearing their posing suit FRIDAY NIGHT--NO SATURDAY
WEIGH-IN. All decisions
are final. NEW WOMEN'S POSES: FRONT AND BACK LAT SPREADS.
BACKSTAGE: NEW!
Due to limited backstage area at the Boulder Theater, and for the
competitors
safety, only a limited number
of assistants/ trainers will be permitted backstage. They may
purchase a backstage pass for $30 with purchase of tickets for
Prejudging
and Evening Finals. Only 1 Trainer per competitor. (Competitors do not
need a ticket) Please
purchase
Backstage Pass by March 21, 2006, and trainer name will be listed in
the event program.
MUSIC/BODYBUILDERS:
Contestants
will use their own music for the finals, prerecorded on a quality
cassette tape and CUED TO YOUR STARTING POINT. BRING TAPE TO
CHECK-IN! IF A CD IS USED, IT MUST BE CUSTOM BURNED WITH ONLY 60 SEC.

WOMEN'S FITNESS & FIGURE* CHAMPIONSHIPS
GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION
1. NEW!
PLEASE NOTE--- Each contestant must be a current member of the
NPC,
(2006 NPC cards will be available for $75) Entry Fee: $40 if
postmarked by March 24, 2006, $80 for
entries postmarked after March 24,
2006. (Complete the entry form BELOW.)
2. Figure Over 30/35/40 contestants must
have
reached
the age of 30/35/40 by April 8, 2006. Proof of age required.
3. Contestants must wear high heels in the swimsuit
rounds
and tennis/athletic shoes in the fitness round.
4. Jewelry may be worn in the swimsuit rounds.
5. Thong swimsuits will not be allowed. Tights must
be
worn under thong in fitness round.
6. Exhibition of poor sportsmanship willbe grounds
for
automatic disqualification.
7. NEW! Due

9. Contestant check-in: 6:00 pm FRIDAY NIGHT APRIL 7
AT HOST HOTEL--Best Western Golden Buff, 28th & Canyon
St. Sat. Prejudging meeting at Boulder Theater at 8:00 a.m.,
Prejudging begins at 9:00a.m., and Evening show at 5 p.m.
10. All contestants must bring all suits to be
worn in competition to the Contestant Check-In for suit inspection by a
show official.
PUBLICITY AND AWARDS:
The top 5 winners in each of the two height classes for FITNESS,
( 5'4" and under, and over 5'4"), and the top 5 winners in
each of the SIX
height classses for FIGURE, (5'2" and under,
over 5'2" - 5'3", over 5'3" - 5'4",
over 5'4" - 5'5", over 5'5" -5'6" and over 5'6"), will receive Neils
AndersonFitness/Figure Sculptures. No money prizes may be given at the
amateur level. (Competing for cash prizes nullifies amateur status in
the NPC.) This show is not a national qualifier. The
first Figure national qualifier is the SHAWN RAY COLORADO PRO/AM SHOW
May 12, 13. The first Fitness national qualifier is the CO State
Championships.
JUDGING PROCEDURES:
ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT
The contestants will be brought out in 1 or 2 lines for the
quarter turns in a 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do not twist-look straight
ahead.)The judges
will be scoring the physique by assessing overall muscle tone with
shapely lines, overall firmness and a small degree of muscularity
with separation, no visible striations and no excessive leanness
along with a full general assessment including healthy appearance,
face, makeup and skin tone.
ROUND 2/ FITNESS
Each athlete will perform a maximum 2 minute routine. Judges
will be looking for strength and flexibility moves, style,
personality and overall presentation and showmanship. Strength
and flexibility moves will be judged on the number, degree
of difficulty and the creativity in performing the moves.
Contestants should give special attention to their apparel
since it too will be judged. Routines may include aerobics,dance
gymnastics or other demonstrations of athletic talent and
strength--there are no required moves except at the national
events, but are strongly recommended. Props are allowed but
must be approved by promoter in advance.
ROUND 3/FINAL ASSESSMENT
The Athlete will be brought back outin their original line
in a 1-PIECE SWIMSUIT. At this time judgesmay ask for certain
contestants to be placed next to other contestants.Then the
quarter turns will be directed so the judges can make any
finalcomparisons they wish.
SCORING
Each round is judged separately, and scores are turned in after
each round.
EVENING PERFORMANCE
All contestants will be introducedat the evening event in
their swimsuits. All athletes will perform theirfitness routine
at the evening finals.
