CONTEST PROMOTER: Jeff Taylor/LifeSports, email: jtaylor@jefftaylor.com ELIGIBILITY: Open to any NPC athlete. (2009 NPC cards will be available for $85.) Teenage competitors must not have exceeded 19 years of age the day of the contest.Masters competitors must have reached the age of 35/40/45/50/60 the day of the contest.Proof of age required. Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never placed 1st-3rd in an open class or 1st place Novice Division in any NPC sanctioned national qualifier event. Contestants may enter more than one division, however, athletes will only pose once at the evening competition. AWARDS :Men's/Women's Open: 1st-5th in each weight class. Teenage, Novice and Masters, Men's Masters 35-40, 40-45, 45-50, 50 and over: 1st -5th one class each. (Novice class must have a minimum of 3 entrants in each class by Oct. 27th or number of classes may be reduced.) A Team Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team. ($30 fee per team is required.) Overall awards for Men's and Women's OPEN OVERALL BB winners, Men's Masters Overall winner, Men's Novice Overall Winner, Women's Fitness Overall winner, Women's Figure OPEN Overall winner, BIKINI Overall Winner. is NPC sanctioned and will run in accordance with the most
recent NPC rules and procedures. All decisions are final.

GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION
OPEN FIGURE---The top 5 winners in each of the six height classses for OPEN FIGURE , (5'1" and under, over 5'1" - 5'-2-1/2", over 5'2-1/2" - 5'4", over 5'4" -5'5-1/2", over 5'5-1/2"-5'7", and over 5'7"), BIKINI*---The top 5 winners in each of the three height classes for BIKINI, (5'4" and under, over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"), plus one class for over 35 BIKINI, will be nationally qualified to go to the Jr.USA & Team Universe Figure, and top 5 in each class will receive Niels AndersenFitness/Figure Sculptures. Overall Fitness, Figure and Bikini Champions receive Niels Andersen Sculpture award on a wood trophy base! *All BIKINI competitors in this show are nationally qualified for 2009, and are eligible to compete for 22 IFBB pro cards awarded in 2009 at the pro qualifier NPC national contests! The top 3 in both Open Figure and Fitness are nationally qualified to go to NPC Jr.Nationals, NPC Figure/Fitness Nationals in NY, NY and NPC USA. No money prizes may be given at the amateur level.(Competing for cash prizes nullifies amateur status in the NPC.) The top 6 FITNESS contestants, ( 2 in each of the 3 height classes), at the NPC Nationals in Nov., and the classwinners at the Team Universe will be eligible to turn professional in the IFBB. The winner of Nationals will be invited to compete at the FitnessMs. Olympia Contest. FIGURE: Jr.USA overall winners, Class winners at the Jr.Nationals and top 3 in each of the four height classes at the National FIGURE Championships, (in NY along with the NPC TEAM UNIVERSE), and class winners at the USA in Las Vegas, all receive their IFBB pro cards JUDGING PROCEDURES: ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT The contestants will be brought outin 1 or 2 lines for the quarter turns in a 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do not twist-look straight ahead.)The judges will be scoring the physique by assessing overall muscle tonewith shapely lines, overall firmness and a small degree of muscularitywith separation, no visible striations and no excessive leanness along with a full general assessment including healthy appearance, face, makeup and skin tone. ROUND 2/ FITNESS Each athlete will perform a maximum 2 minute routine. Judges will be looking for strength and flexibility moves, style, personality and overall presentation and showmanship. Strengthand flexibility moves will be judged on the number, degree of difficulty and the creativity in performing the moves. Contestants should give special attentionto their apparel since it too will be judged. Routines may include aerobics,dance gymnastics or other demonstrations of athletic talent and strength--there are no required moves except at the national events, but are strongly recommended. Props are allowed but must be approved by promoter in advance. SCORING Each round is judged separately, andscores are turned in after each round. EVENING PERFORMANCE All contestants will be introducedat the evening event in their 2 piece suits. All Fitness athletes will perform their fitness routine at the evening finals. *NOTE: 2009 FIGURE CHAMPIONSHIPS----Rules are the same as Fitness minus "ROUND 2/FITNESS." DETAILS FOR WOMEN'S FIGURE NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never placed 1st-3rd in any NPC sanctioned FIGURE event or WON a NOVICE FIGURE Class. Three, (3), Novice height classes: 5'4" and under, over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6". DETAILS FOR WOMEN'S FIGURE OVER 35-40, 40+ CHAMPIONSHIPS: Women's Figure 35-40 and Figure Over 40 competitors are only eligible if they have turned 35 or 40 years of age by Nov. 14th, 2009.
