ELIGIBILITY/BODYBUILDERS:
Open to
any
NPC athlete. (2006 NPC cards will be available for $75.) Teenage
competitors must not have exceeded 19 years of age the day
of the contest.Masters competitors must have reached the age
of 35/40/50 the day of the contest.Proof of age required.
Novice competitors are eligible only if they have never placed
1st-3rd in an open class or 1 st place Novice Division in any
NPC sanctioned national qualifier event. Contestants may enter
more than one division, however, athletes will only pose once
at the evening competition.
AWARDS/BODYBUILDERS:
Men's/Women's
Open: 1st-5th in each weight class. Men's Teenage, Men's & Women's
Novice and Women's
Masters,
Men's Masters 35-40, 40-45, 45 and over: 1st -5th one class each.
A Team Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team.
($20 fee per team is required.) Overall Men's and Women's
Bodybuilding, Men's and Women's Overall Masters, and Figure Champions
win sword awards! Overall USAFA Champion receives Overall
Sculpture award!

TESTING
PROCEDURE: As
a condition of acceptance into this
event, each bodybuilding contestant must pass a thorough 45-minute
polygraph
examination proving that he/she has not engaged in the use
of anabolic steroids, clenbuterol or non-over-the counter
diuretics at any time during the preceding 24 calendar
months. Upon receipt of entry form and fee,
the contestant will be notified where to go in Denver or Colorado
Springs for polygraph testing. The testing center will attempt
to accommodate each contestant's schedule. There will not be any
additional charge to the contestant for the test.
RULES/BODYBUILDERS:
This contest is
NPC sanctioned and will run in accordance with the most recent
NPC rules and procedures. All bodybuilding competitors will
be weighed in wearing their posing suit FRIDAY NIGHT--NO SATURDAY
WEIGH-IN. All decisions
are final. NEW WOMEN'S POSES: FRONT AND BACK LAT SPREADS.
BACKSTAGE: .
Only 1 Trainer allowed backstage per competitor. (Competitors do not
need a ticket)
Backstage Pass only with proof of purchase of Prejudging and Evening
show tickets.
MUSIC/BODYBUILDERS:
Contestants
will use their own music for the finals, prerecorded on a quality
cassette tape and CUED TO YOUR STARTING POINT. BRING TAPE TO
CHECK-IN! IF A CD IS USED, IT MUST BE CUSTOM BURNED WITH ONLY 60 SEC.
POSING SONG ON CD. Time Limit: 60 sec.

GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION
1. NEW!
PLEASE NOTE--- Each contestant must be a current member of the
NPC,
(2006 NPC cards will be available for $75) Entry Fee: $40 if
postmarked by April 8, 2006, $80 for
entries postmarked after April 8,
2006. (Complete the entry form BELOW.)
2. Figure Over 35 contestants must
have
reached
the age of 35 by April 22, 2006. Proof of age required.
3. Contestants must wear high heels in the swimsuit
rounds.
4. Jewelry may be worn in the swimsuit rounds.
5. Thong swimsuits will not be allowed. Tights must
be
worn under thong in fitness round.
6. Exhibition of poor sportsmanship willbe grounds
for
automatic disqualification.
7. Only 1 Trainer allowed backstage per competitor. (Competitors
do not
need a ticket)

show tickets.

8. Contestant check-in: 8:00 a.m. SATURDAY, APRIL 22
AT VENUE--,
Prejudging begins at 10:30 a.m., and Evening show at 6 p.m.
9. All contestants must bring all suits to be
worn in competition to the Contestant Check-In for suit inspection by a
show official.
PUBLICITY AND AWARDS:
The top 5 winners in
each of the THREE
height classses for FIGURE, (5'4" and under,
over 5'4" - 5'6", and over 5'6"), will receive Neils
AndersonFitness/Figure Sculptures. No money prizes may be given at the
amateur level. (Competing for cash prizes nullifies amateur status in
the NPC.) This show is not a national qualifier. The
first Figure national qualifier is the SHAWN RAY COLORADO PRO/AM SHOW
May 12, 13.
JUDGING PROCEDURES:
ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT
The contestants will be brought out in 1 or 2 lines for the
quarter turns in a 2-PIECE SWIMSUIT. (Do not twist-look straight
ahead.)The judges
will be scoring the physique by assessing overall muscle tone with
shapely lines, overall firmness and a small degree of muscularity
with separation, no visible striations and no excessive leanness
along with a full general assessment including healthy appearance,
face, makeup and skin tone.
ROUND 2/FINAL ASSESSMENT
The Athlete will be brought back outin their original line
in a 1-PIECE SWIMSUIT. At this time judgesmay ask for certain
contestants to be placed next to other contestants.Then the
quarter turns will be directed so the judges can make any
finalcomparisons they wish.
SCORING
Each round is judged separately, and scores are turned in after
each round.
EVENING PERFORMANCE
All contestants will be introduced at the evening event in
their swimsuits. All athletes will be introduced
at the evening finals.
